About Pavel Sokolov
Pavel Sokolov reviews file transfer tools for this site. He has spent years moving media between phones, tablets, and televisions in real homes, and he writes about the unglamorous details that decide whether a transfer app survives daily use: discovery speed, honest progress, and where files actually land.
His testing is deliberately ordinary. Every app is installed on consumer devices, paired over a normal home router, and asked to move the files families really move, from multi gigabyte recordings to a single boarding pass. If a workflow only works on a perfect network, Pavel says so.
When he is not testing transfer tools, Pavel maintains a small home media setup and helps friends rescue photos from phones they are about to replace.
What Pavel focuses on
- Wireless transfer reliability on real home networks
- Android TV and Google TV receiving workflows
- APK and XAPK delivery to television devices
- Large file handling, storage behaviour, and recovery from failed transfers
